💰 Salary Range: $191,000 CAD/year (plus bonus + equity + benefits)

🔍 Role Overview:

This is a senior-level role on the Analytics Engineering team. You’ll operate at the intersection of data engineering, data science, and business analysis — building reliable data pipelines and models that directly support decision-making across Coinbase.

🛠️ What You’ll Do:

• Own data flows end-to-end: From ingestion to transformation to delivery.
• Build trusted data sources (data marts, foundational models).
• Develop actionable insights and self-serve data tools (dashboards, pipelines).
• Partner with cross-functional teams (product, DS, engineering, operations).
• Translate complex requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.
• Lead efforts to improve data reliability, usability, and quality.

⚙️ Required Skills & Experience:

• Advanced SQL: Complex querying, transformations, performance optimization.
• Python (intermediate to advanced): OOP, scripting, scalable tooling.
• Data Modeling: Star/snowflake schema, modular and reusable model design.
• ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar.
• Data Visualization: Tools like Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Python libraries.
• Prompt Engineering: Crafting and refining prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT-based tools).
• Strong communication skills to align stakeholders and explain technical solutions.
• Knowledge of modern data architecture: Snowflake, Databricks, cloud-based systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, version control workflows.

✅ Bonus/Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Data science literacy (basic stats/probability).
• Ability to develop internal data apps and frameworks.
