🧭 Role Overview
This role focuses on selling IBM infrastructure solutions by building strategic relationships, managing the end-to-end sales cycle, and driving growth across accounts, especially within the BFSI sector.
You’ll work closely with technical teams, business partners, and clients’ IT leadership to deliver value-based solutions around hybrid cloud infrastructure, datacenter, networking, and platform technologies like Oracle DB or Open Source DBs.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
🧑💼 Client Engagement
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Understand client infrastructure needs and deliver tailored proposals.
💼 Sales & Solution Management
- Run end-to-end sales processes: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, responding to RFIs/RFPs, and closing deals.
- Craft ROI-focused value propositions for enterprise infrastructure solutions.
🤝 Collaboration
- Work alongside IBM’s internal tech teams, brand specialists, and channel partners.
- Leverage IBM’s broader capabilities (software, services, cloud) in proposals.
📈 Pipeline Development
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- Maintain a healthy, well-qualified sales funnel.
🌐 Market & Product Awareness
- Stay updated on trends in datacenter modernization, hybrid cloud, enterprise integration, and emerging networking technologies.
✅ Required Qualifications
- ✔️ Proven consultative sales experience, ideally in enterprise IT, data center, or hybrid infrastructure.
- ✔️ Background in selling Next-Gen Infrastructure, such as:
- Oracle DB
- Open Source DBs
- ESB (Enterprise Service Bus)
- Event-Based Architectures
- ✔️ Experience in BFSI vertical (strongly preferred).
- ✔️ Familiarity with networking, data center, and platform architecture.
- ✔️ Strong presentation, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- ✔️ Ability to create and present ROI/Business Value models.
💡 Preferred Experience
- Developed C-level relationships within client organizations.
- Experience driving complex, multi-stakeholder deals in enterprise environments.
- Comfort working across matrixed organizations and global teams.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud, containerization, or multicloud infrastructure is a plus.
